Peace Flag Exchange

Colours that speak, symbols that unite, messages travelling from one continent to another.

The Peace Flag Exchange invites children and young people to create their own peace-inspired flag and share it with schools and associations in the international Living Peace network.

A simple yet powerful programme: each flag becomes a bridge between cultures, an act of friendship and an invitation to build a more harmonious world together.

The activity is promoted by Living Peace International.

Objectives

  • Spread a culture of peace.
  • Strengthen teamwork skills.
  • Encourage creativity and personal expression.
  • Build authentic connections and new friendships with peers around the world.

Activities

  1. Reflect and discuss peace: start by talking about what peace means to you and which symbols or colours best express it.
  2. Create your flag: work in small groups and let your imagination run free. Each flag can tell a story, a dream or a wish for peace.
  3. Join peace events: parade with your flag during Run4Unity or other public events.
  4. Exchange your flag: at the end of the event, you can give it to another participating group or send it to a school/association in the Living Peace International network.

Deadline

The activity is always open: you can take part at any time of year.
